Gold demand in China will double in a decade
According to the World Gold Council (WGC) recent analysis report of tonnes of gold demand China will double within a decade. China's gold consumption in 2009 worth over U.S. $ 14 billion 1, equivalent to the global demand for gold in total 11%. But this release, "Year of the Tiger Gold analysis report" on the supply of gold from China and demand fundamentals made all aspects of Outlook.
World Gold Council investment department Marcus Grubb, Managing Director, said: "China has great economic growth and excitement is not new. But it was, China Gross Domestic Product growth prospects of the gold market in China is difficult to judge the impact of - but now the situation is different.
"China is one of the largest economy in the world, it quickly became an important market for gold. However, our analysis confirmed that the Chinese gold market, there is huge potential yet to be developed. World Gold Council estimates that If gold demand from China continues to grow, narrowing the gap with other major markets, the number of tonnes of gold demand China will double in the next decade. In other words, at the end of 2009 to calculate the average gold price of annual demand in China will reach about $ 29 billion. "
Over the last five years, demand for gold from China's average annual growth rate of 13%.
The main conclusions of the World Gold Council is as follows:
Intensity of two of gold consumption in China lags far behind other major markets. If China's per capita gold consumption in India, China, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia being equal, China's demand that the jewelry industry is expected to increase annual gold from 100 tonnes to 4,000 metric tons.
In the analysis the reporting period, gold demand from China for investments with a total GDP of the country and the population growth rate consistent with the World Gold Council expects that this trend will continue.
Although China is the world's sixth largest official gold reserves of the country, but all the foreign exchange reserves, gold reserves account for only less than 2%, according to international standards is still very low. Even the current increase of 10% is based on the increased demand of 100 tonnes of lead. Although the demand for gold in China is growing, but the World Gold Council expects long-term supply growth from China will be more difficult, and may in the future decline.
Over the past ten years, Manufacturers in China gold mining will increase gold production by 84%, but China is known gold reserves of the world's gold known only 4% of total of 3. If this detailed information, according to the estimation results of the World Gold Council that China will take place in the next six years, known reserves of gold.
The gold exploration budget, from a global perspective, China remains a country relatively underrepresented owned exploration. Therefore, only by attracting substantial capital investment for exploration, these supply trends can be reversed only.
World Gold Council investment research and analysis manager, author Report Eily Ong said. "Our analysis confirms that the gold of China can be an even greater imbalance between supply and demand Since 1992, China's growing demand for gold beyond the growth of domestic production, while privatization until a decade after the ban took place. Our analysis shows that if gold demand from China continues at the current pace of rapid growth, the domestic supply of China could not keep pace. China and the gold market will be how to develop, we can almost be certain that this will impact on the market World gold. " About the Author

China into Africa $29.95 Africa has long attracted China. We can date their first certain involvement from the fourteenth century, but East African city-states may have been trading with southern China even earlier. In the mid-twentieth century, Maoist China funded and educated sub-Saharan African anticolonial liberation movements and leaders, and the PRC then assisted new sub-Saharan nations. Africa and China are now immersed in their third and most transformative era of heavy engagement, one that promises to do more for economic growth and poverty alleviation than anything attempted by Western colonialism or international aid programs. Robert Rotberg and his Chinese, African, and other colleagues discuss this important trend and specify its likely implications.Among the specific topics tackled here are China’s interest in African oil; military and security relations; the influx and goals of Chinese aid to sub-Saharan Africa; human rights issues; and China’s overall strategy in the region. China’s insatiable demand for energy and raw materials responds to sub-Saharan Africa’s relatively abundant supplies of unprocessed metals, diamonds, and gold, while offering a growing market for Africa’s agriculture and light manufactures. As this book illustrates, this evolving symbiosis could be the making of Africa, the poorest and most troubled continent, while it further powers China’s expansive economic machine.Contributors include Deborah Brautigam (American University), Harry Broadman (World Bank), Stephen Brown (University of Ottawa), Martyn J.
