Q: Fewer people take the February test. Does that mean it is easier than the other administrations during the year?
A: No. How many people take the exam during a specific administration is irrelevant to the difficulty level of a particular LSAT test administration. Additionally, the LSAT is a standardized test, so, in theory, all tests are of the same difficulty level.
Q: The Writing Sample is not scored. Does that mean I can just leave it blank?
A: Law schools receive a copy of your Writing Sample. As such, spend the time to write a competent essay.
Q: What score do I need to score in the 99th percentile rank?
A: Each LSAT test is slightly different, but approximately a 172 test score will yield a 99th percentile ranking. To obtain a 172 score, you could miss about seven or eight questions.
Q: I'm not good at standardized tests such as the LSAT. What should I do to improve my test taking abilities?
A: You can improve your test-taking abilities by familiarizing yourself with the material tested and learning test-taking strategies, including pacing and time management. Additionally, there are numerous former tests that have been released by the Law School Admission Council for you to practice on before taking the actual test.
Q: Which test preparation material is the best?
A: Each resource will provide slightly different approaches, and, as such, instead of seeking out what others believe to be the best, take a look at all the resources available and determine which will fit your learning style the best.
Michael W. Stone has taught test preparation for many years. He owns a website on Test Preparation.

Kill the Messenger: The War on Standardized Testing $42.84 Kill the Messenger is perhaps the most thorough and authoritative work in defense of educational testing ever written. Phelps points out that much research conducted by education insiders on the topic is based on ideological preference or profound selfinterest. It is not surprising that they arrive at emphatically antitesting conclusions. Much, if not most, of this hostile research is passed on to the public by journalists as if it were neutral, objective, and independent. This volume explains and refutes many of the common criticisms of testing; describes testing opponents strategies, through case studies of Texas and the SAT; illustrates the profound media bias against testing; acknowledges testings limitations, and suggests how it can be improved; and finally, outlines the consequences of losing the war on standardized testing. Author: Phelps, Richard P./ Walberg, Herbert J./ Stone, J. E. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 331 Publication Date: 2006/06/15 Language: English Dimensions: 9.11 x 6.02 x 0.88 inches |

Testing Collapse Theory by Strickland, Keir [Paperback] $154.53 We have been fascinated by societal collapse since civilisation began; as soon as the first monumental stone structures were erected they began to crack, crumble, and decay, and people became aware of their societys mortality. From the writings of Plato and Aristotle to the silver screen of Hollywood; the very idea that a civilisation can flourish and burn so brightly, and then fall so far, to ruin, fills us with an almost morbid fascination, the possibility that an entire civilisation could die doubles our own mortality (Mazzarino 1966: 171). However, despite popular interest, collapse has long been sidelined in archaeology, leaving the field dominated by highend universal collapse theories. This book attempts to test such theories through by grounding them in the physical archaeological record of three examples of such societal collapse from across the world; those of the Maya (Mesoamerica), the Indus (South Asia) and the Turanian Basin (the Near East).
